DALE – Roy Lynn Clark, age 75 and resident of Dale, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 2:23 p.m., at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to noon Monday, September 2, 2024, at Ten Mile Baptist Church with a Memorial Service at noon Monday, September 2, at Ten Mile Baptist Church. Pastor Jacob Gray will officiate the services. The family has requested anyone that would like to wear overalls and a smile to celebrate Roy’s life should do so. A Private Family Burial of Ashes will take place at a later date.

Roy was born November 21, 1948, in McLeansboro, IL, to Jewel W. Clark and Thelma Ruth (Viers) Clark. He married Sherry Ann (Gerdes) on October 29, 1976. She passed away November 29, 2015.

Roy worked as a mechanic in the Agriculture Industry and was employed by 4R International. He loved to hunt, fish, work on his old truck or tractor, was a member of Gobblers Knob Chapter of NWTF, served on Mayberry Twp Board, loved shooting Trap, and he always presented Life with a Smile.

Daughter: Kristina Braden, McLeansboro, IL

Grandchildren: Klayton Clark and Karter Clark, Shawn Braden, Owen Braden, Austyn Braden, Everly Braden

Preceded in Death: His parents, and wife, Sherry

Memorials may be made to The Fox Fire Trap Team and will be accepted at the Ten Mile Baptist Church Memorial Service or at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL, which is in charge of arrangements.
