WEST FRANKFORT – Glen Edward Dunn, 82, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, in his home at 9:21a.m.

Glen was born April 26, 1942, in Benton, Illinois, to Jame Lee and Mary Belle (Hamilton) Dunn. He graduated from Benton High School in 1960 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Glen was a devoted husband and loving father. He was an avid outdoorsman. Glen was passionate about fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, one son and one granddaughter.

Glen is survived by his wife, Betty Dunn; two daughters, Wendy Carmickle and Lisa (Tom) Whittle; four grandchildren, Raven Saul, Tamara Lappin, Jason Hood and Haylie Dunn; and seven great-grandchildren, Brendon Jude, Mataya Saul, Taylor Hood, Jordan Hood, Jayden Hood, Conner Lappin, and Paislie Allen.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.

The Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
