WILLIAMSON COUNTY – A man has been cited for multiple offenses after he was involved in a recent aggravated domestic battery with his girlfriend on Auburn Lane in rural Williamson County.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Michael J. Williams was cited for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Interfering with Reporting of Domestic Violence and Manufacturing/Delivery of Cannabis.

Williams was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

Deputies responded to the incident just before 3 last Wednesday afternoon and then responded to another location where the victim had relocated to.

When deputies arrived the victim said she and Williams, who was her boyfriend, had been in a physical altercation since 3:30 p.m.

The victim stated she was struck with objects, kicked, choked, and shot at multiple times with a 9mm handgun. She was taken by ambulance to Herrin Hospital for significant injuries.

At 7:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant on the Auburn Lane home. Several firearms, ammunition and shell casings were recovered.

Williams was taken into custody, cited and taken to jail.
