After further investigation 56-year-old Kenneth D. Hargrave of Carmi was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Battery and taken to jail. He will have to see a judge before being released.

Prior to the incident, police say 52-year-old David K. Lovell of Carmi was cited for Criminal Trespass to Hargrave’s property. Lovell then began parking his vehicles in front of Hargrave’s business in order to block patrons from parking there. Police say this is what caused the verbal argument that led to the physical altercation between the two men. Police say more arrests could result.
