One Shawnee is a community development organization launched in 2020 with a vision of culturally and economically revitalizing the Ohio River and Shawnee National Forest regions of southernmost Illinois.

The summit is specifically designed for local government officials and staff, local non-profits, community leaders, volunteers and anyone else with the desire to take an active role in improving southernmost Illinois living or working in Union, Alexander, Pulaski, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Hardin, Saline or Gallatin counties.

The goal of the summit is to equip regional leaders with the capacity to make positive change in their communities and the region. The gathering will have three focuses: connect, inform and empower. Along with speakers, there will be group discussions, breakout trainings and learning sessions.

Three breakout session options are being offered: IIRA Mapping the Future of Your Community, Corn Belt Ports, and Make My Move Relocation Incentives.

Registration for the free summit registration is requested and available at https://www.oneshawnee.com/events-1.
