METROPOLIS – A man was recently arrested after Metropolis Police received a 911 call saying that he was on his way to where his wife worked in Metropolis and kill her with a gun he had with him.

Officers and Massac County deputies set up to intercept 56-year-old David L. Dublin of Karnak on Monday, Nov. 25. They stopped Doublin who possessed a handgun.

Doublin was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Use/Possession of a Weapon, and Unlawful of a Weapon after being denied a FOID Card.

He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
