PADUCAH – Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Paducah are still confident that a wave of frigid temperatures will impact the region as we end November and move into the beginning of December.
The coldest temperatures look to occur Sunday through Tuesday when temperatures may fall as low as 20 degrees below average.
During the period of coldest temperatures, highs will be in the lower to mid 30s and lows in the teens are likely. Additionally, wind chill temperatures in the single digits and teens will happen during the morning hours.
While impactful winter weather is not expected, some light snow showers are possible Saturday into Sunday.
Organizations that assist unhoused and similar vulnerable populations should prepare for several days of dangerous cold.
