CARMI – A Springerton woman is facing drug-related charges following an early Sunday morning traffic stop on Elm at 6th Street in Carmi.

Carmi Police say 40-year-old Mary Lee Nelson was arrested and booked into the White County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Nelson was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. She remains in jail due to her charges.
