MARION – An arrest has been made in a recent armed robbery in Energy.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Tyreon J. Taylor-Ford is being held in the Williamson County Jail. 

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for Taylor-Ford for the offense of Armed Robbery.

Just after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, Energy Police received a report of an armed robbery that happened in the 200 block of Pine Street in Energy.

Police Chief Shawn Ladd requested the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit to begin a comprehensive investigation.  

Sheriff’s investigators, in collaboration with Energy Police detectives, identified the primary suspect as Taylor-Ford.

Investigators tracked Taylor-Ford’s location to Macon County, Illinois. where Macon County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted in his apprehension.

The sheriff’s office says additional arrest(s) are anticipated.
