WEST FRANKFORT – If you happen to get an email from the mayor of West Frankfort with a link asking for an approval review or one similar to it, do not open any attachments or click any links.

According to a post on the City of West Frankfort-Mayor’s Office Facebook page, Mayor Tim Arview’s email account has been breached. The mayor’s email address is mayor@westfrankfort-il.gov.

The city’s information technology team is working to resolve the problem and will let you know on Facebook when it has been resolved.

The city apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
