BENTON – Illinois State Police responded to a rear-end crash on northbound I-57 in Benton Sunday afternoon.

Preliminary information from ISP says a 2015 black Chrysler van was going north in a construction zone on I-57 just after 2 p.m. At the same time, a 2018 gray Toyota van was going north in the same location in front of the Chrysler van.

The Toyota van slowed with traffic and the Chrysler van struck the rear of the Toyota van.

No injuries were reported.

ISP says no further information is available.
