CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police say they have arrested a second juvenile involved in that Labor Day Weekend shooting at a Carbondale business located in the 700 block of South Illinois Avenue.

Police responded to that area around 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 2 after several 911 calls came in about shots fired and a report of a man who had been shot.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment. His name was not released.

On Sept. 8, officers and detectives located and arrested a 15-year-old male from Carbondale on a warrant for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm that was obtained as a result of the investigation.

On Wednesday at 12:30 p.m, detectives arrested a 17-year-old male from DeSoto on an arrest warrant for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm that was also obtained as a result of this investigation.

The juvenile was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Carbondale Police continue to investigate the shooting.
